Action with Compassion

When there is one day I step out of my routine, do I spiral, or is it weeks I haven’t realized what was starting to happen?

I recognize this season as a time I would panic if I wasn’t spending so much time with the Lord.

Now the temptation is a mere annoyance.

I respond to the devil’s tactic of doubt with laughter because I couldn’t doubt if I wanted to.

There is no scenario where I don’t win.

I’m learning more and more about all the mess inside my mind that needs to be taken out but also learning to trust Him with it all because He is the One that changes me as I allow His love and grace to wash me clean.

Understanding His ways and our trust in them brings us great peace.

A peace that passes all understanding and guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

I believe I messed up today because my brother, whose name will be unmentioned, is acting like a fool.

I spoke the truth to him, but it wasn’t in love… I was ticked.

I believe there is a time to be fiery, but I don’t understand the balance yet so I shouldn’t be dabbling with the flames.

Nevertheless, the deed was done, and I chose to give it to the Lord.

Later in the day, I began meditating on the first scripture in my scripture card, “choose joy”.

“Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD Himself, is my strength and my defense; He has become my salvation. With joy, I will draw water from the wells of salvation.”

Isaiah 12:2-3

I realized Isaiah spoke as if He already did it. God is my salvation.

I saw that what He has done has reached into the past, floods the present, and fills eternity.

Like God, His salvation for use is everywhere at once and isn’t something that’s just done.

It’s happening in my life right now.

Salvation is working in my body, my mind, my heart, and my finances, and it covers what I did yesterday, today, tomorrow, and 2 minutes ago.

This shouldn’t give us the okay to sin, obviously, but free us from condemnation and gives us boldness to move forward with what God has given us to do.

Then sings my song, my Saviour God, to thee! How great thou art! How great thou art! How great thou art!
