Free Spirit, Soul, & Body

Depression and anxiety come on us very similar to sickness.

For example, yesterday, I was having symptoms of a cold in my throat and nose. Initially, I ignored it being busy, but when it became more pronounced, I rebuked it, and the symptoms fled.

This morning I woke up with the symptoms of depression.

I can’t work with anxiety or depression. Everything goes wrong. I can’t just ignore depression, but that’s precisely what I did today.

I ignored it till 4:00, trying to get something done.

Anything done.

Nothing got done, and time took wings.

I needed to rebuke it the same as I rebuked sickness yesterday.

I didn’t see it as something you could tell to leave, but Jesus took our anxieties the same way He took our infirmities.

Even baptists should agree with this because when we quote healing scriptures or prosperity scriptures, they say that’s talking about the soul part of us

—the part where our mind will and emotions are.

1 Peter 2:24 By his stripes, I was healed.

Is 53:5 By His stripes I am healed.

Ps 103:3 He forgives all my sin, and He heals all my disease.

Ex 15:26 He is the Lord, my Healer.

Ps 118:17 I will not die, but I will live and declare the works of the Lord.

Ps 107:20 He sent His Word and healed me and delivered me…

Pr 4:22 His Word is life and health to all my flesh.

Childlike

I’m not giving up.

No matter what gets thrown at me.

I can’t do this.

I know that now.

It’s impossible, but I’m going to do it with Jesus.

It’s crazy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Now Lord, teach me to let it all go like a child.

I shouldn’t have a thought about tomorrow because You are taking care of it.

The waves are way too high. I don’t want to look at the waves.

Mind wars

It really is a fight for your mind.

Preach to yourself; tell thoughts that don’t line up with the Word of God to go to Hell.

We can not be loaded down with the cares of life.

It steals all our joy and productivity.

It is possible to live so blessed we choose not to stress.

voice of faith

Start expressing gratitude.

I believe thanksgiving is the voice of faith.

When you thank God for something, you recognize that God has done something for you, and that is what faith does.

Faith receives what Grace has already provided.

Renew your mind to the Word of God to understand that you are victorious.

If you are rooted and grounded in truth, the devil cannot conquer you with his lies.

The truth will set you free.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

Speak the Word over yourself.

Preach the Word to yourself.

Be consistent.

the One

Choose one thing instead of one more thing.

Think about Mary and Martha.

Mary chose the one thing and left a hundred important pressing things for the one thing.

But she knew she wanted Jesus above all. So choose the one thing instead of just adding one more thing to your already busy schedule.

Then through prayer and worship, be quick to offload your heart.

{

Cast your care onto the Lord because He cares for you.

-1 Peter 5:7

Live intentionally

Lay it down.

Do not keep that mess inside.

Instead, build yourself up by praying in tounges.

Let go of any unforgiveness.

Let God fight your battles for you.

This will release you into joy and the fruit of the spirit to be activated in your life.

Be around people that have joy.

Hang out with people you want to be like.

Bad company corrupts good behavior, but the good company supports you and helps you become better.

Choose joy.

Create a lifestyle of Joy and peace.

Spend your time with the Prince of peace.

Create an atmosphere of joy.

Be intentional with your life.

The Holy Spirit is here to help you.

Let’s not ignore the amazing gifts the Lord has blessed us with. Amen.

In His Service,

Abbie
