started wrong

Okay, so remember us talking about non-negotiable tasks we must do every day?

Well, I started the day off wrong according to the schedule anyway. Then the day was basically all about getting the non-negotiable stuff done; then, I didn’t even get any business done.

Weird right?

here we go

Well, this is how the day started…

I woke up and wasn’t super tired, but I didn’t launch into my morning routine right away.

Instead, I prayed, which is good, right?

At least, that’s what I did first; what I know for sure is that I started this elaborate bullet journaling creation process.

I am trying to think what initiated this…

give me a second.

Sorry, nothing’s coming.

It took up my math time, Bible time, my first hour of work, and some of my workout time, but I was so happy when I finished.

I remember how I woke up now. I woke up with a revelation from my alarm. It was Isaiah 60:1-3

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

Isaiah 60:1-3

I was stuck on dream big yesterday and felt like what I was writing in the lesson wasn’t what God wanted to teach His people, so I asked Him to tell me what to write and left it at that.

Today God gave me the answer through my alarm.

Even when the world looks like it’s crashing and burning, we aren’t crashing and burning along with it. Rather we rise while the world burns. We shine as darkness covers the unbelievers. We have hope. We have Jesus, and it will be clear that He is the answer. But how is it clear? How do we shine? We shine by loving each other, staying in joy and peace, and being blessed in the city, blessed in the field, blessed in the fruit of your body and the fruit of your ground. You will be blessed coming in and blessed going out.

When everyone else is struggling to survive, they will look to you, who is thriving in every area, and will ask what your secret is.

Then they will flock to the Lord because every promise is yes and amen in Christ Jesus to the glory of God.

People will see God’s favor and goodness poured out on you and praise God for it.

They will know it’s not you but supernatural favor, and all the glory will go to God.

And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of thee.

Deuteronomy 28:10

As I touched on in the lesson of grace, we now receive everything in the Christian life the same way we received Christ by grace through faith. Meaning you have to believe God for those blessings to flow in your life.

Limited beliefs, mindsets, and dreams will limit the flow of grace in your life.

God wants to show off in your life, but you have to receive by grace through faith.

This is a law in the kingdom of God; It cannot be altered just because you don’t know how it works or feel that your intentions are good enough, so God should make a special exception for you.

You have to conform to God’s ways, not God to yours.

He gave you His instruction manual, so there is no excuse.

say yes

Do not limit the grace of God in your life by small thinking. Dream big, and when God gives you a vision to go where it seems impossible, remember you serve the God of the impossible and say yes.

Okay, so I got off on teaching there, which is good because that came out so naturally. That will be my “dream big” lesson. Now I can’t say I didn’t do any work today.

What I was trying to get at is after I wrote down that scripture from my alarm and meditated on it a bit, I somehow jumped into my dream board, and I love how it turned out, but it really messed up the schedule for the rest of the day.

How my first few hours of the day flows is a snapshot of how the rest of the day looks, so I wasn’t able to get back on track with the schedule for the rest of the day. I wanted to make sure at least I got my non-negotiable tasks done, and with that, I’ve done pretty well.

Actually, with that thought, I do have to go. I need to finish reading two more chapters in my book, read the Bible, and post three old entries and this new one. There is one more hour before bedtime, and I’m getting sleepy. Getting to bed on time is important for waking up on time and knocking out those vital first hours of the day.
