It will get worse, but you have to get better.

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

1 Corinthians 10:13

I am not saying life will be rainbows and butterflies if you just believe.

Life throws hard.

Especially when you are pursuing the call and vision God has given you.

Life doesn’t get easier; you become stronger.

Many people see 1 Corinthians as if life is so hard you can barely hold on, and right when you’re about to lose it, God steps in and keeps you up.

That is how it feels when we do life in our own strength.

When we are about to lose it, we realize we can’t actually do it and call out for God to step in, and He does because you finally placed your faith and reliance on Him instead of yourself.

That is how most Christians experience life, but that’s not at all what 1 Corinthians 10:13 is talking about.

It’s not bearing it to a breaking point; rather, it’s being able to go through intense situations with joy and peace.

How do we know this? Because in Philippians 4:4, it says, “Rejoice in the Lord always.” (and just in case you didn’t believe your ears, he says again) “Again I will say, rejoice!.”

Just because you know God’s joy and peace is available to you at all times doesn’t mean you will instantly stay in joy and peace.

No, there is growth that needs to take place, and God knows that.

He will never gives us more than we can handle without stepping out of joy and peace.

In John 14:27, Jesus instructs, “Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid.

We can choose peace and joy, but we are so ingrained in doing things the world’s way it takes time and effort to learn and train yourself to react God’s way.

the return

This is a journey, a relationship we walk out day by day.

The more we exercise in the ways of the Lord, the stronger we will be, and we will become more capable of taking on difficult tasks.

The larger the problem, the bigger the return.

God doesn’t promote people when they can’t handle the strain that position will bring.

God will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able, but when you are ready and strong enough in the Lord, He will get you where you need to go.

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

1 Peter 5:6-7

A great life is on the other side of pressure. Don’t run from pressure.

If you are willing to do only what’s easy, life will be hard. But if you are willing to do what’s hard, life will be easy.

step up

Don’t fall into the ditch of thinking everything is going to be rainbows and butterflies if you just believe.

You will go through difficult situations, and you will have goliaths stand in your way.

We are still standing against evil.

We have to be strong in our God and face our enemies, knowing we have victory.

No competition.

We win, so advance.

Don’t back away; step up.

There is no shortcut.; let God train you.

Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:

Psalm 144:1

Life doesn’t get easier; it gets harder, but with the Lord, you get stronger making life easier for you.

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Psalm 16:11
