I messaged a friend on the first to see if I could stay with her while I was waiting to move into my place, and she didn’t get me an answer until the evening of the second day, so thankfully, I had Christy, that told me she would love me to stay with her if I couldn’t stay with my other friend.

So I’m staying at Christy’s now, and I’m glad too because I don’t think I would have been as comfortable with my other friend.

Christy is so amazingly hospitable that I feel inspired to be more open-handed with things and care for people more.

She genuinely cares, and that’s not common. I

‘m blessed to have a friend like Christy, and while others may not see her worth, I never want to let her go. I genuinely believe her hugs are anointed.

friend to friend

God is faithful, and I’m so blessed to be here.

Laura was also looking for a place to stay this month because her landlady is kicking her out.

I love Laura and have been looking for a place for her, but I remembered Christy has been wanting me to rent with her, so she had a bedroom available.

I told her I needed to be in Woodland Park, but I would help her find a roommate.

So I told Christy about Laura and sent Laura her information.

So now Laura will be coming over tomorrow at nine to look at the place.

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

Isaiah 60:1-3

Yes Lord

I didn’t tell you Friday what happened in the afternoon because I journaled at the library around eleven.

I believe I told you about seeing a post on the Charis bulletin board about a mom who needed help with their little girl.

Well, after I left the library, I went to Charis to pick up Arielle, but there was about a half hour before she was let out, so I took a walk around the pond, and there was a lady with her daughter walking just ahead of me.

I instantly thought it was the same lady and little girl, so I walked up to them, started a conversation with the mom, and kneeled down to talk to the little girl a bit.

I didn’t ask outright, but it seemed to come out naturally, and I found that yes, they were the very same, and I felt that tug on my heart to help them despite what they could pay, so I said yes, Lord, and had the lady tell me what she could afford and said to her that’s what I could do.

for the Lord

She was so relieved and told me she thought she would have to go back and couldn’t continue school that morning, but God encouraged her in worship, and I was an answer to prayer.

God provided when I did a similar thing while I first arrived and was in school, so I know He will provide here too.

I believe this will also be a much more enjoyable task God has assigned me than the first for multiple reasons.

A few being she will be dropped off at my place so I won’t be paid close to nothing and have to use it on gas, and second, it’s just one little girl, so I am excited to build a relationship with this blessing of God. I am glad I can take care of her for the Lord.

I went to Freedom last night. They had worship night with pizza, so I danced before the Lord with one of the flags they set out.

I had a great night.

I went afterward to a “small” group run by a guy named Kevin at Daniel Sylvia’s home.

It was nice, but I was tired and falling asleep.

Christy had us leave before it was over, but I stood and shared with the first years about Gary Keesee because I wish I had known about Him at the beginning of school.

A young lady named Syera prayed over us before we left, and Daniel walked us to Christy’s car.

Daniel has a very steep driveway, so he led the way with a flashlight so we wouldn’t trip. We shared great sermons and prayed over Christy’s car before we drove home. Christy and I discussed the night and had a little Bible study before bed.

I went to bed before Christy even though Christy had work the next day. Silly Christy.

Today I mostly slept. I haven’t been able to sleep well lately since I’ve been so excited about all the things that have been happening. I’ve been caught up in the goodness and love of God.

Now it’s ten, and I’m ready to go to bed again.

But before I do, I just want to say. God has done it again. I didn’t really do anything except trust that He was doing everything and ask if there was a part I needed to play, but He told me where to go, and He provided housing, a job, and made it to where I have time to work on the assignment. I am so excited about this year. Glory to God in the highest He is so good to me.
